I received a B.A. in Psychology in 2006 from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma. In 2010, I received Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy from Southern Nazarene University.
Before completing my M.A. , I was a social worker for foster children and families in Oklahoma. After completing my education, I worked with a home-based agency, an intensive outpatient program for children , teens, and families, as well as in private practice that served children, teens, adults, couples, and families.
Each of these settings has helped me gain better understanding of how to effectively treat emotional and behavioral issues. Most of all, it has helped me realize that each client deserves an approach that is unique to them.
After practicing therapy for 5 years in Oklahoma, my family and I moved to Texas. I am currently a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist through the state of Texas. My experience and specialization in Texas has been focused on teens, adults, and couples. I currently serve in the role as a clinical therapist at Georgetown Child & Family Counseling.
Each person comes to my office for a different reason. My hope is to provide a safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared and processed without fear of bias or judgement. My goal as a therapist is to collaborate, empower, and support each client as they work towards meeting their therapeutic goals. I believe in helping people create a deeper sense of self, find fulfillment in their daily lives and relationships, and feel empowered to live more fully in the present.
My areas of experience include ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Issues, Family Conflict, Trauma, Attachment, ASD, and Parenting.
